Pakistan Flood Relief
Posted on Thu, 26/08/2010The scale and impact of floods on the people of Pakistan is overwhelming. The total number of people affected is greater than 20 million (almost the population of Australia). The devastation and dislocation of people is unimaginable. 200,000 more are being evacuated from villages at the moment. Those assisting on the ground predict that there will be continuing dislocation over the next six to eight weeks requiring significant levels of emergency assistance, long before the process of rebuilding begins.
