Celebrations in Fiji

Dayanand Sharma, one of the students enrolled with the Bible Training Institute, comes from a non-Christian background. He completed the Christian Faith Basics correspondence course with good grades and at the end of this course, made a commitment to follow Jesus Christ as personal Saviour. He writes, "My decision is to receive Christ as my Saviour, confessing to God that I am a sinner and believing that the Lord Jesus Christ died for my sins on the cross and was raised for my justification. I do now receive and confess Him as my personal Saviour. I pray this in Jesus name, Amen.” Signed - Dayanand Sharma, 5 July 2010. Dayanand has now registered for the next course of studies on Christian Life and Devotion.
 

Under the leadership of Alvin Chand, the new trainee pastor, the church at Vuci Road is also continuing to fulfil its commitment to reach out in the neighbouring area with the Gospel of Christ. In the last couple of months they have joyously celebrated two weddings from among their members. Melvin & Roma, both long standing members, were married on 3^rd July and Ajit, a new believer, married Romena on Saturday 14^th August. Romena comes from a Hindu family and was baptised a week before they were married. Both the weddings were held at Nakasi Church.
